I'm in Vietnam now:) It's about 16degrees here in Dalat, which is in the central area and was the French summer resort during their colonising days. It's been a good and restful trip, lots of time to sleep, to be still, to just enjoy nature and the company of my family. Just wanted to jot down some thoughts of the trip so far. Day 1: flight to Saigon, watched Coco avant chanel on the plane. haha. Yes, random movie but actually rather thought-provoking. Saigon isn't as chaotic and poor as hanoi is. It has a wonderful bustling atmosphere, seems rather commercialised as well. The highlight of the day was taking a boat cruise down the Saigon river. Lovely breeze, lovely river. What was memorable was one of the performances on board the boat. A lady performing stunts with fire, fire-eating, twirling a fire-lit hula-hoop etc. It clearly captivated everyone's interest and mine too initially, when it struck me that this lady isn't wearing all that much and well, the entire performance...
